South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford (R) will hold a press conference at 2 p.m. today on his mysterious vacation getaway.
The Hotline: "Wow. Just wow. Yesterday, the Sanford saga was an over-hyped tale of a 'quirky' gov who just wanted to clear his head on a hiking trip. Today, it's a full-blown P.R. disaster for the would-be WH'12 hopeful, and another headache for the GOP."
Update: FITS, a blog run by a former Sanford spokesman, says there may be evidence the governor was having an extramarital affair and TPM reports there's evidence Sanford was not alone on his vacation.
Update II: Sanford opens news conference by apologizing to his wife and family. He then apologizes to his staff. "I've let down a lot of people."
Sanford admits to having an affair with a "dear, dear friend from Argentina."
