CQ's Politics in America 2010: The 111th Congress From the forthcoming CQ's Politics in America:

Rep. Stephen F. Lynch, D-Mass., donated more than half his liver to his brother-in-law.

Reps. George Miller (D-CA) and Bill Delahunt (D-MA) and Sens. Charles E. Schumer (D-NY) and Richard J. Durbin (D-IL) all share a Capitol Hill rowhouse of such notorious disarray that it merited a New York Times write-up and a visit from an ABC News television crew in early 2007.

In high school, Rep. John P. Murtha (D-PA) acted in school plays; his most memorable moment was as a professor in Little Women when he split his pants and never turned his back to the audience.

Rep. Candice S. Miller (R-MI) earned the honorary title "Old Goat" in 2001 when she competed in her 25th Port Huron to Mackinac Island sailboat race.

Rep. Harry E. Mitchell (D-AZ) was such a popular mayor in his hometown of Tempe that city officials established the Harry E. Mitchell Government Complex and erected a 35-foot abstract steel statue of him near city hall.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) is the first woman to represent Alaska. She is also the first person ever appointed to the Senate by her father.

Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-TX) was so skilled at back flips, twists and other moves that while at Texas Tech he joined the Flying Matadors trampoline troupe.
