While his Democratic opponent is hauling in the money online, a campaign aide for Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) confirms to CNN the Republican lawmaker has raised "more than $200,000" in the wake of his now-infamous outburst at President Obama's speech Wednesday night.
Ben Smith: "It's an episode that teaches an old lesson: The big money is often to be found in the freakshow."
Interesting development: A forthcoming poll from Public Policy Polling will show Wilson is in trouble. Obama's approval in SC-2 is now positive, even though he lost the district by 9 points in last year's election.
