Most Want White House Out of Local Politics

As the White House urges New York Gov. David Paterson (D) not to run for office next year, a new Marist Poll finds that 62% of New York voters think the Obama Administration is wrong to suggest the governor should not run while 27% think Washington is well within its rights to get involved.

Even a majority -- 51% -- of Democrats believes the Administration is meddling.
