In an interview with WHO-TV, Christie Vilsack (D), the wife of former Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack (D), revealed she's considering a challenge to Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA) next year.
Said Vilsack: "I am honored that people would think of me in that way and would talk to me about running for any office and I think I'm well-qualified to run," Vilsack said. "I think I'm qualified to serve, so time will tell."
Kay Henderson: "Having covered two Vilsack campaigns for governor and a (brief)Vilsack
for president campaign (as well as watching both Vilsacks campaign for
pal Hillary Clinton once Tom Vilsack dropped out of the race), I can
tell you that the Vilsacks are well-matched. Tom Vilsack, as he once
told me, loves to govern. Christie Vilsack, as I've observed, loves to
campaign. She likes the process. She likes meeting people."
