Delaware Senate Race Should Be a Tight One

A new DailyKos/Research 2000 poll in Delaware finds the potential match up between Rep. Mike Castle (R) and Attorney General Beau Biden (D) extremely close.

Though Castle beats any other Democrat tested, he just barely edges Biden by one point, 46% to 45%.

Key findings: While Castle has solid Republican support (82% to 9%), Biden gets less than three-quarters of Democrats (72% to 21%). Independents lean toward Castle (48% to 40%). If Biden brings Democrats home, it gets much harder for Castle to win.
