Hints from New Jersey?

Some interesting exit poll findings:

Hotline: "According to early exit poll data released by CNN, ex-U.S. Atty Chris Christie (R) leads Gov. Jon Corzine among indie voters, 58-33%. Indies make up 27% of the electorate thus far today. For comparison, the latest Monmouth Univ. poll -- which had an overall two-point lead for Corzine -- showed Christie beating Corzine among indies by a narrower margin, 43-33%."

The AP exit poll showed Chris Daggett was falling far short of the 20 percent he drew in some earlier polls.

Patrick Murray: "There seems to be little question that Daggett's presence in this campaign gave disgruntled voters another option. Most pre-election polls showing him in the double digits indicated that he could hurt Christie. It turns out with a much lower performance, the opposite may have been true."
