Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX) said "that she plans to remain in the Senate until after the Texas primaries in March, scuttling her earlier plans to resign to focus on her challenge to Gov. Rick Perry," the Dallas Morning News reports.
"Hutchison said months ago that she would leave the Senate by the end of November. Now, she says, she must stay in Washington to fight against Democratic health care and environmental legislation."
However, the AP reports Hutchison "makes it clear that she will leave the Senate in March regardless of whether she or Perry wins the primary."
