Moore to Announce Retirement

Rep. Dennis Moore (D-KS), "a Democrat who confounded the GOP by winning six consecutive elections in a heavily Republican district, will not seek re-election next year," the Kansas City Star reports.

So far, only eight House Democrats have announced their retirements. In what could be a tough election year for Democrats, the party cannot afford many more.
