Testing the Obama-Pelosi Alliance

The Hill reports that President Obama's Afghanistan troop decision could face resistance from Democrats and Republicans alike in the House of Representatives.

Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-AZ), "co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, said a resolution of disapproval would be the 'next logical step.'"

"Although House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a staunch supporter of the President, may not allow such a resolution to the floor, "If she did schedule such a resolution, it would probably pass with Republicans, who feel the plan shortchanges the commanders on the ground, joining with liberals, who don't want to see any escalation."
