Koch Takes Away Paterson Nod

Former New York City Mayor Ed Koch walked back his endorsement of New York Gov. David Paterson, the New York Daily News reports.

Said Koch: "And when I was asked by a reporter, 'Are you for David?' I said 'yes.' And she said, 'Are you for him because of what he's done?' I said, 'No. I am for him, in effect, out of sympathy for his being in a Kakfa-esque situation.' You can't do this to people, use rumors to destroy them...But I'm not really for him."
