The House will be in session at 1 p.m. ET. However, it's not yet clear when the series of votes on the health care reform bill will begin.
The Hill reports on the tactics of House Democratic leaders "during what is billed as a 15-minute vote" on the health care reform bill later this afternoon.
"It is likely that some firm no votes on the Democratic side will vote right away while others, at the request of House leaders, will wait to register their no until the tally reaches the magic number of 216. Once it does, politically vulnerable Democrats will likely cast their no votes."
Rep. Gene Taylor (D-MI), who opposes the bill, said Democrats voting against should vote early and leave the chamber immediately or they will be treated "like a piñata."
