A Closer Look at the Tea Party Movement

A new Winston Group (R) survey looks at the Tea Party and finds that 17% of Americans consider themselves members of the Tea Party movement. Of those, 60% identify themselves as Republicans while 28% describe themselves as independents and 13% call themselves Democrats.

Of the issues facing the country, 21% of Tea Party movement say that the national debt and government spending is the most important, more than double the number in the overall poll sample.
