A new Honolulu Advertiser poll in Hawaii shows voters are divided between Neil Abercrombie (D) and Mufi Hannemann (D) in the Democratic primary for governor in September, but prefer either Democrat to James "Duke" Aiona (R) in the November general election.

In the Democratic primary, Abercrombie edges Hannemann, 36% to 32%.

In general election match ups, Abercrombie leads Aiona, 49% to 35%, and Hannemann leads Aiona, 48% to 35%.
