Close Race for Maryland Governor

A Polling Company survey in Maryland conducted for gubernatorial candidate Brian Murphy (R) finds Gov. Martin O'Malley (D) just edging former Gov. Bob Ehrlich (R), 44% to 43%.

However, O'Malley (D) beats Murphy by an even greater margin, 44% to 25%, which makes you wonder why Murphy thought it was a good idea to publicly release this poll.

No numbers are given for a GOP primary match up between O'Malley and Murphy.
