A new Marist poll in New York finds Andrew Cuomo (D) leading Carl Paladino (R) by a large margin among likely voters, 52% to 33%, with Conservative party candidate Rick Lazio at 9%.
Said pollster Lee Miringoff: "Cuomo is ahead, and right now, this is not a close race. He is being bolstered by the Lazio factor, but he is just above 50% among likely voters, and you can't overlook the enthusiasm Republicans are bringing to this election cycle."
A series of recent polls have shown conflicting results; some showing a tight race and others having Cuomo solidly ahead.
