Pelosi Gets Private Meeting with Obama

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi will meet with President Barack Obama again, "giving the president a chance to make his case directly to the California Democrat whose caucus is roiling with anger about the prospect of a deficit reduction deal that curbs Social Security and Medicare spending," the Wall Street Journal reports.

Meanwhile, Nate Silver notes that liberals actually have considerable leverage on a deal because House Republicans likely cannot get the needed votes within their own caucus.
