Kinder Finally Comments on Stripper's Allegations

It took several days for Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder (R) to comment on a Riverfront Times story that contained allegations from an ex-stripper who said that the likely Republican gubernatorial candidate offered to move her into his campaign-financed condo, the Kansas City Star reports.

The story also said Kinder was a regular customer when the woman worked as an "entertainer" at the Diamond Cabaret in Sauget, Ill., in the 1990s.

Said Kinder: "Like most people I am not proud of every place I have been, but this woman's bizarre story is not true."
