Gingrich Up Big in South Carolina and Florida

New NBC News-Marist polls show Newt Gingrich has now opened up commanding leads over Mitt Romney in South Carolina and Florida.

In South Carolina, Gingrich leads Romney by 42% to 23%, with no other Republican candidate in double digits.

In Florida, Gingrich leads Romney by 44% to 29%.

Said pollster Lee Miringoff: "You can see why the Romney people are getting a little itchy."
