Haley Brushes Off Question About Sikh Cab Drivers

In an interview with Time, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) -- who was raised in the Sikh tradition by her parents but converted to Christianity -- was asked an extraordinary question: "In New York City, which you're visiting for a couple of days, a lot of our taxi drivers are Sikhs. If you get one, are you going to give them a slightly bigger tip?"

Haley responded with a laugh, "Oh, I give the same tip to everyone."

Allah Pundit: "You can't fully appreciate how out of left field this comment is without viewing it within the context of a standard boring political interview. Haley actually handles it amazingly well; I would have been dumbfounded."
