North Carolina Poised to Ban Gay Marriage

The latest Public Policy Polling survey in North Carolina finds that a proposed constitutional amendment banning gay marriage and civil unions will pass by an easy margin in today's election, 55% in favor to 39% against.

Meanwhile, the Raleigh News & Observer notes that North Carolinians "have rushed to the polls this year in record numbers" but they "may be confused by wording of the amendment question."
