Jackson Will Not Likely Return Before Labor Day

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-IL) will likely not return to Congress until after Labor Day, a senior aide close to the congressman told ABC News.

The source also denied a rumor that the congressman's mysterious absence was due to a suicide attempt.

Jackson's father, Rev. Jesse Jackson, told the Chicago Sun-Times that his son will release more information on his medical condition, but gave no timetable.
