Ryan Has Problems in Home District

Smart Politics finds that Rep. Paul Ryan won his closest ever congressional contest in 2012 -- nearly 20 points off his average victory margin recorded during his previous seven wins since 1998.

"Ryan defeated Rob Zerban (D) by just 11.5 points -- down from 29.3 points four years ago when Obama won Wisconsin by double digits. Obama's margin was less than half that on Tuesday at just 6.7 points. Prior to joining the Romney presidential ticket, Ryan had won his congressional district by an average of 30 points."
