Most See Snowden as a Whistle-Blower, Not a Traitor

A new Quinnipiac poll finds American voters say that Edward Snowden is a whistle-blower, rather than a traitor by a 55% to 34% margin.

In a massive shift in attitudes, voters also say by 45% to 40% the government's anti-terrorism efforts go too far restricting civil liberties, a reversal from a January 2010 poll when voters said 63% to 25% that such activities didn't go far enough to adequately protect the country.
