Supreme Court Puts Hold on Same-Sex Marriages in Virginia

"The U.S. Supreme Court today stayed a ruling by the Richmond-based federal appeals court that would have allowed same-sex couples in Virginia to marry beginning Thursday morning," the Richmond Times Dispatch reports.

"The Supreme Court did not give an explanation or release the vote totals."
