White House counsel Pat Cipollone slammed the impeachment inquiry as “completely baseless” in a letter to the House Judiciary Committee.
The letter quotes President Trump: “If you are going to impeach me, do it now, fast, so we can have a fair trial in the Senate, and so that our Country can get back to business.”
While the letter doesn’t specifically state the White House won’t participate in next week’s hearings, an administration official confirmed to CNN that’s what the letter means.
