A former aide to Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) said that he had recently been questioned by the FBI as investigators seek to determine whether the congressman violated federal sex trafficking laws, the New York Times reports.
The aide, Nathan Nelson, said FBI agents showed up unannounced and believed he may have resigned last year after learning about “illegal activities” by the congressman.
