After President Trump said Pentagon leaders were beholden to defense contractors, White House chief of staff Mark Meadows told CNN his comments were not directed specifically at people like Defense Secretary Mark Esper or Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley.
Said Meadows: “That comment was more directed about the military industrial complex.”
