Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said he will attend the May 9 meeting at the White House on raising the debt ceiling, Punchbowl News reports.
“But the Senate minority leader made clear that’s where his role ends.”
Said McConnell: “There is no solution in the Senate. The Senate is not a relevant player this time… The sooner the president and the speaker get about it, the better the country will be.”
