Legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin told CNN that a Georgia judge’s criticism against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis in his ruling marks a “very good day” for Donald Trump, because the case is “going nowhere.”
Said Toobin: “Think about this, there’s another racketeering case in Georgia where jury selection, not the trial, jury selection, has taken a year. This case is never going to trial before the election.”
Politico: “Though McAfee could have forced months of delay — or even the unraveling of the case altogether — if he had agreed to disqualify Willis over allegations of financial impropriety, the case is still wracked with turmoil and appears unlikely to be feasible in 2024.”
