“Matthew Graves, the top federal prosecutor for the District, announced Monday that he was resigning his post as U.S. attorney days before President-elect Donald Trump takes office,” the Washington Post reports.
“Graves led what the Justice Department has called the largest investigation it has ever conducted: prosecuting those who participated in the violent attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. But Trump has promised to pardon many of the rioters, undoing much of Graves’s work.”
