A new CBS New York poll finds Zohran Mamdani (D) leading the New York City mayor race with 43%, followed by Andrew Cuomo (I) at 28%, Curtis Sliwa (R) at 15% and Eric Adams (I) at 6%.
A new Washington Post-Kaiser Family Foundation poll shows that American parents “who are choosing to skip or delay vaccines for their children are more likely to home-school their children, be White and very religious, identify as Republican or be under 35.”
A new Data for Progress poll finds that “more than half of likely Democratic voters prefer socialist-aligned figures like Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Zohran Mamdani to establishment politicians like Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jefrries and Nancy Pelosi.”
“Democratic voters also view elected officials who describe themselves as democratic socialists about as positively as those who identify as Democrats, and they prefer democratic socialism to capitalism when written definitions of each are read aloud to them.”
“Two suspects are in custody after an incendiary device was found under a vehicle belonging to KSTU, a local TV station known as Fox 13 News Utah,” CNN reports.
The incendiary device “had been lit but failed to function as designed.”

FBI Director Kash Patel said that Tyler Robinson had sent a text before the shooting, saying he had an opportunity to “take out” Charlie Kirk and “he was going to do it because of his hatred for what Charlie stood for,” the Los Angeles Times reports.
It is unclear who Robinson sent the text to, or whether that person alerted law enforcement.
“Jeffrey Epstein’s estate has turned over additional documents to the House Oversight Committee, including a previously redacted name from the late sex offender’s now-notorious 50th birthday book,” NBC News reports.

President Donald Trump is pressuring Republicans to vote for the “clean” short-term stopgap funding plan GOP leaders are working on to fund the government through late November, Politico reports.
Said Trump: “In times like these, Republicans have to stick TOGETHER to fight back against the Radical Left Democrat demands, and vote “YES!” on both Votes needed to pass a Clean CR this week out of the House of Representatives.”
He added: “Democrats want the Government to shut down. Republicans want the Government to OPEN.”
Two sources tell News 12 that New York City Mayor Eric Adams has made a decision and will likely drop out of the mayor’s race by the end of this week.
