Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) set a second straight fundraising record last quarter, bringing in $1.88 million from April to June, Fox News reports.
Axios: “The impressive haul, an increase from the record-setting $1.5 million Cheney brought in during the first three months of the year, came during the period in which she was ousted as House GOP conference chair for her criticism of former President Trump.”

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) says it’s “wishful thinking” by former President Donald Trump that she won’t run for re-election, the AP reports.
Said Cheney: “I am absolutely dedicated and committed to winning my primary and earning the votes of the people of Wyoming.”
“Wyoming state Rep. Chuck Gray (R) will run against Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) in the 2022 Republican primary, becoming the latest challenger looking to unseat the powerful congresswoman following her vote to impeach former President Donald Trump,” the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
“Gray is not the only hardline conservative to run against Wyoming’s incumbent. State Sen. Anthony Bouchard announced his candidacy in January.”
Liz Cheney is likely to launch her bid for Congress within days, several Republicans in Washington and Wyoming tell Morning Consult, and unlike her short-lived Senate bid two years ago, this time she’ll almost certainly begin as the favorite.
