“Republican leaders are formally asking their rank-and-file members to propose changes to the rules governing the House GOP conference,” Politico reports.
“A broad swath of the conference, led by a group of hardliners in the House Freedom Caucus, have pushed for a party that operates in a more bottom-up manner. They want larger say for rank-and-file members in selecting chairman and more seats on key committees.”
