Michael Cohen said in court that he committed federal campaign finance violations in coordinating hush money payments to two women — Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal — “in coordination and at the direction of a candidate for federal office,” Bloomberg News reports.
Cohen pleaded guilty to five counts of tax evasion, one count of making a false statement to a bank and two campaign finance violations.
“Cohen was shaking head and appeared to be holding back emotions as judge reviews possible sentence. Cohen faces a likely prison sentence of 46 to 63 months, the judge said.”
The judge set sentencing for December 12.
