A new Monmouth University Poll finds Donald Trump with a commanding national lead in the race for the Republican nomination at 41%, followed by Ted Cruz at 14%, Marco Rubio at 10% and Ben Carson at 9%. All the other candidates are at 3% or less.
Said pollster Patrick Murray: “It has become abundantly clear that Trump is giving his supporters exactly what they want, even if what he says causes the GOP leadership and many Republican voters to cringe.”
