Dowd Resigns as Trump’s Lead Lawyer on Mueller Probe

“The president’s lead lawyer for the special counsel investigation, John Dowd, resigned… days after the president called for an end to the inquiry,” the New York Times reports.

Washington Post: “Dowd’s departure was a largely mutual decision made after the president lost confidence in his ability to handle special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation and Dowd became frustrated with Trump’s recent efforts to bring on new attorneys.”
