During President Trump’s infamous 2018 visit to Paris, in which his planned trip to a French cemetery for fallen soldiers was canceled, he strolled around the lavish ambassador’s residence in Paris and took a fancy to a number of pieces of artwork, including a bust of Benjamin Franklin and some Greek mythical figurines, Bloomberg reports.
So he ordered them removed from the residence and packed into Air Force One and brought to the White House.

Goddard is also co-author of You Won - Now What? (Scribner, 1998), a political management book hailed by prominent journalists and politicians from both parties. In addition, Goddard's essays on politics and public policy have appeared in dozens of newspapers across the country.
Goddard earned degrees from Vassar College and Harvard University. He lives in New York with his wife and three sons.
