Race for Wisconsin Governor Is Very Tight

October 24, 2022 at 12:30 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard Leave a Comment

A new CNN poll in Wisconsin finds Gov. Tony Evers (D) has the support of 50% of likely voters, while challenger Tim Michels (R) has 48%, a finding that’s well within the survey’s margin of error.

The Senate race is also very close with Sen. Ron Johnson (R) edging challenger Mandela Barnes (D), 50% to 49%.

Opposition Research Isn't Just for Politics Anymore

Political operatives know how easy it is to dig up someone’s phone number, old addresses, family connections, and workplace. The same tools used in campaigns and opposition research are now used by scammers.

One Redditor described a chilling experience: “A stranger called me, my ex, his girlfriend, my brother, my cousin, and my parents. He knew everyone’s names — even where I work.”

That’s because your data never disappears. Old jobs, past moves, and personal details are collected, archived, and sold by data brokers and people-search sites.

Incogni removes your personal data from these sites and keeps monitoring to make sure it stays gone.

They can't scam you if they can’t find you. Save 55% on an annual subscription with code POLITICALWIRE.
