Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), who has endorsed Donald Trump, criticized the DeSantis administration over its new Black history teaching requirements, saying he supported the overall approach but not that students be taught that African Americans gained skills learned during slavery.
His statement set off a fierce back-and-forth between the Trump and DeSantis campaigns, with a DeSantis spokesperson asking: “Did Kamala Harris write this tweet?”
