Donald Trump filed a motion to dismiss Special Counsel Jack Smith’s 2020 election subversion case, arguing that he has has absolute immunity for actions performed within “outer perimeter” of his official duties.
He added that that because the Senate acquitted him in his impeachment trial, he can’t be criminally charged for similar conduct.
