Democrats Hold the Virginia Senate

Democrats have won the majority in the Virginia Senate, according to the Cook Political Report.

The win denies Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) control of the state legislature and the ability to pass a 15-week abortion ban as he promised.

Goddard spent more than a decade as managing director and chief operating officer of a prominent investment firm in New York City. Previously, he was a policy adviser to a U.S. Senator and Governor.
