Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said he spoke to Rep. George Santos (R-NY) “at some length” over the Thanksgiving break about “his options,” Punchbowl News reports.
Interestingly, Johnson said “it remains to be seen” whether the House will vote on an expulsion resolution.
Johnson’s comment indicates that Santos may be considering resigning. That’s the only way that the House will avoid a vote on expelling Santos.
