“Donald Trump on Thursday unexpectedly delivered remarks in his own defense on the final day of his civil fraud trial in Manhattan, attacking the judge to his face, declaring himself ‘an innocent man’ and calling the New York attorney general’s case against him ‘a fraud on me,'” the New York Times reports.
“Mr. Trump’s remarks were chaotic and emotional but lasted only a few minutes, during which he admonished the judge, Arthur Engoron, ‘You can’t listen for more than one minute.'”
“The judge cut him off and instructed the former president’s lawyer to ‘control your client.'”
