Murphy Says Harris Endorsements Weren’t Coordinated

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) told Axios that the Democratic Party’s coalescence around Kamala Harris was purely organic and not a coronation by party leaders.

Said Murphy: “I get it that there’s cynicism out there and folks might’ve thought this whole thing was set up. Just to be clear, none of us knew about the president’s decision until the minute he made it, none of us were calling each other to pre-organize our endorsements of Kamala Harris.”

He added: “I sat down at my kitchen table and typed out, personally, my endorsement… and I think that’s what my colleagues did. It was as organic as you can get.”
