“Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign, aiming to shore up support from Black voters in key battleground states, is deploying surrogates to homecoming celebrations at historically Black colleges and universities this fall,” the New York Times reports.
“The surrogates will include local elected officials, influential Black leaders, notable alumni from the colleges, celebrities and hip-hop stars. They will attend the annual celebrations in states including Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia, as the campaign courts a critical voting bloc.”
