DeSantis to Veto Immigration Bill Passed by Republicans

“Gov. Ron DeSantis said he will veto a sweeping illegal immigration bill passed Tuesday night by the state’s Republican-controlled Legislature, a move guaranteed to stoke the escalating feud between him and legislative leaders,” Politico reports.

“DeSantis’ veto decision comes amid his frequent barbs aimed at lawmakers over the bill, and represents further decay of the quickly deteriorating relationship between the governor and a Legislature that had given nearly everything he wanted before his unsuccessful run for president.”
