“Senators from both parties expressed doubt about Tulsi Gabbard’s judgment during her confirmation hearing to be President Donald Trump’s director of national intelligence, renewing concerns about her prospects for Senate approval,” Punchbowl News reports.

“Testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee, Gabbard came out swinging against her ‘political opponents’ as Democratic and Republican senators alike grilled the ex-Democrat about her previous statements and views on key national security issues, especially as it relates to Russia.”

“We also reported exclusively that Gabbard’s opening statement initially included references to Russia-related claims that Trump has pushed over the years, in addition to a swipe at President George W. Bush over the Iraq War. Those were removed from the final version of her opening statement.”
