“Senate Majority Leader John Thune is now floating Democratic-authored proposals that would allow Senate Republicans to confirm President Donald Trump’s nominees more quickly,” Punchbowl News reports.
“Thune specifically referenced a proposal from Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), the previous Rules Committee chair, that would allow up to 10 nominees from the same panel to be considered en bloc on the floor.”
“Such a move would dramatically accelerate the confirmation of nominees and allow Republicans to more quickly eliminate the current backlog.”
