“U.S. dollars will bear the signature of President Trump later this year, the Treasury Department said, an unprecedented change to the nation’s currency that the department said is being made in honor of America’s 250th anniversary,” the New York Times reports.
“As a result, Mr. Trump is set to be the first sitting U.S. president to have his signature on the currency. It is expected to appear alongside that of Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and replace the name of the U.S. treasurer, whose name has been on the currency for more than a century.”
